NORWELL — Cemetery Committee appoints new member, discusses infrastructure and monument disputes. The Norwell Cemetery Committee welcomed Brian Noble as a voting member and elected Rick Merritt Vice-Chair on August 3. A-Plus Construction is scheduled to begin re-mapping flat marker and upright monument sections at Stetson Meadows Cemetery the week of August 17.

The committee agreed to investigate perpetual care funds to install a monument at Roberta Lynsky's burial lot, which has lacked a marker for four years; a separate meeting will address easement and maintenance issues at the Atwater-Clarke-Hartmann burial parcel. The committee also agreed to evaluate solar lighting to replace National Grid charges averaging $70 to $80 monthly at Stetson Meadows.
