Norwell Conservation Commission approves site monitoring and landscaping work contracts, plans major habitat funding requests. The Commission unanimously approved a $3,500 consulting contract with Merrill Engineers for construction monitoring at 180 Circuit Street and a $2,500 landscaping project at the Hemingway Garden to address washout and grade issues, Conservation Agent Will Saunders reported. The Commission processed multiple construction permits including approval of an expanded patio at 344 Winter Street and an addition at 46 Leonard Lane, while continuing several Stetson Road subdivision and single-family home applications to July.

Looking forward, Saunders is planning fall Community Preservation Committee funding applications for Jacobs Island habitat restoration and a $700,000 fish ladder project, pending approval of a potential Special Town Meeting in fall.
