NORWELL — The Open Space and Recreation Implementation Committee met with the Norwell Historical Commission to discuss historic preservation action items from the town's open space plan. Committee member Will Saunders reported on federal grant opportunities for the Jacobs Pond fish ladder project, identifying the US Fish & Wildlife National Fish Passage Program as the strongest prospect; consulting firm GZA is preparing wetland permits, and Saunders will pursue Community Preservation Committee funding as backup.
