Norwell Conservation Commission approves $150,000 community preservation funding request for island restoration. The board unanimously authorized the CPC application to cover worst-case expenses for tree removal and habitat restoration on Jacobs Island, with Conservation Agent Will Saunders noting the amount accounts for hand-cutting if machinery access proves infeasible. The Commission also approved $6,500 in Wompatuck State Park maintenance and up to $9,000 for a Cuffee Hill Forestry Stewardship Plan supported by a state cost-share, with the stewardship plan approved 5-0-1.
Three major development projects were continued pending further review and applicant revisions. ===BRIEF===
