Government Study Committee conducts town operations interviews

NORWELL — The Government Study Committee interviewed two town department heads on municipal operations. Council on Aging Director Susan Curtin discussed the budgeting process, Town Meeting scheduling, the potential value of a grant-writer position, and resident communication. Cushing Memorial Hall Administrator Mary Lou O'Leary, present from 10:19 am onward, reviewed policy documentation, Select Board structure, member training, and committed to proposing rewrites to By-Law Section 4-7 governing the hall's directors.
The committee unanimously postponed approval of prior meeting minutes to accommodate the interviews.
