Norwell Cemetery Committee approves comprehensive remapping of burial lots at both cemeteries. The Committee agreed to hire a local engineering company to remap the flat marker and upright monument sections at Stetson Meadows Cemetery, citing 50 percent capacity at the upright section and full capacity at Washington Street Cemetery. Under the proposed remapping, the flat marker section burial lots would be renumbered from 270-418 to 270-333, and the estate section would expand from burial lots 1-58 to 1-103.
Sean Clancy presented the need for a $60,000 mini-digger to address burial-lot navigation challenges, and the Committee discussed funding options including possible fiscal year 2027-2028 capital budget incorporation.
