NORWELL — Trash collection scheduled for Friday, July 24, was delayed, the Town of Norwell announced in a News Flash update, while a $7,053 state safety equipment grant awarded a day earlier gave the town's public safety operations a boost.

The town's official News Flash feed posted a notice Friday, July 24, announcing a delay to that day's trash collection; residents with Friday pickup should check the town website for updated timing before setting out barrels.

A day earlier, on July 23, the town announced it had been awarded $7,053 in safety equipment funding, according to a News Flash post. No further breakdown of the award's intended use was included in the town's announcement.
