Norwell Select Board approves appointments for police officer and cemetery committee posts. The board appointed Officer Edward Phelps as a Special Police Officer for a term expiring June 30, 2027, and Judy Volpe as an alternate member of the Cemetery Committee for a term expiring June 30, 2029. The board also met in executive session to prepare strategy for collective bargaining and personnel negotiations related to health insurance, covering union and nonunion personnel including teachers, custodians, police, and firefighters.
