NORWELL — OSRP Implementation Committee hears fish ladder moving forward with ConCom approval. The Jacobs Fish Ladder project, estimated at $700K with Glenn Ferguson as General Contractor, has received Conservation Commission approval with conditions. Chapter 91, MEPA, and Army Corps of Engineers waivers are in process, with the Conservation Commission contributing $30K and Community Preservation funding being sought for under $350K.

In separate action, the committee is seeking quotes for removal of approximately 50 diseased beech trees from Jacobs Island, estimated at $100K minimum. Town Planner Nick Giaquinto is pursuing an $850K Complete Streets grant from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, due in August, and applying for Community Planning Grant funding to support the town's new Master Plan.
