NORWELL — Select Board delays proposed town business to May 2027 meeting. Norwell's board decided against holding a fall special town meeting, deferring Articles on septic design, financial software, and planning matters including common-driveway regulations, citing low fall/winter attendance and wanting time to prepare; Vice Chair Lorenda Layne noted the Town Hall Reuse Committee has met only once. In routine business, the board unanimously appointed Heather Storm to the Historical Commission and Christopher Greeley to the Technology Committee.
The board received updates on the resolved July 8 water emergency and a presentation from Town Counsel Atty. Galvin on state 40A zoning law changes requiring a complete rewrite of Norwell's zoning bylaws.
