Board of Water Commissioners · Meeting of September 2, 2026

NORWELL — Board of Water Commissioners approves fee schedule amid staffing challenges. Superintendent J. Federico reported that the board approved the updated water-fee schedule to send to the Town Administrator following minor edits.

The department faces significant staffing pressures with summer help ending September 11 and two employees taking medical and intermittent leave. The board is considering re-funding a technology position to address operational gaps. The board also will review an invitation to join the Plymouth County Regional Water Authority and will discuss the proposal further at the Select Board meeting.

The Washington Street Water Treatment Plant project remains on track following recent borings.
