Norwell Library Launches New Laptop Lending Program

NORWELL — The Norwell Public Library has rolled out a new Device Lending Program, adding 11 loaner laptops to its collection this week, the library announced in its latest newsletter.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The library now has four Dell Pro 14 laptops available for use inside the building and seven Dell Latitude touch-screen laptops available for take-home checkout. Residents interested in borrowing a device can call the library or visit the Main Desk at 64 South Street to learn more, according to the library's announcement.

The new lending program lands amid a stretch of library news already covered by this paper this week: the library recently announced it had been awarded a state technology grant worth more than $35,000, and separately confirmed it will no longer offer seasonal Sunday hours because of budget cuts. The library's full rundown of the changes is detailed in its August newsletter.

COMING UP

Sample ballots for the September 1 State Primary are now posted, the town announced in a recent News Flash. Norwell has also opened in-person early voting ahead of the primary, giving residents additional options to cast a ballot before Election Day.
