Norwell Town Hall closes Friday for Independence Day holiday weekend

Friday, July 3 — Town Hall is closed today in observance of the Independence Day holiday. All town offices at 93 Longwater Circle will be shuttered for the day; normal hours resume Monday, July 6.

Friday, July 3 (ongoing) — Tier 4 water restrictions, first announced June 17, remain in effect across Norwell. Residents are reminded to follow all outdoor water-use guidelines through the holiday weekend.

Ongoing — The Norwell Public Library's new Device Lending Program is now live. The library has added four Dell Pro 14 laptops for in-library use and seven Dell Latitude touchscreen laptops available for take-home checkout. Residents can visit the Main Desk or call the library at 781-659-2015 to learn more.

Ongoing — The library recently received a technology grant worth more than $35,000 through a state program, funding that supported the new laptop lending initiative. The library is open today, Friday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Deadline: Thursday, July 31 — The town's Advisory Board Nominating Committee is still accepting applications to fill vacancies on the Advisory Board. Residents interested in serving are encouraged to apply before the July 31 deadline; information is available through the Town Administrator's office.
